Our History and Vision

The Sree Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple is a beloved center for Hindu worship, culture, and community in North America. Our temple site is located on a beautiful 12-acre lot in Richfield Village, strategically situated near the I-77, I-80, and I-271 corridor. This convenient location ensures easy accessibility for thousands of devotees from the Greater Cleveland area, Akron/Canton, and surrounding communities. The temple complex is thoughtfully designed to serve the spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the community. Established in the Richfield Village area of Ohio, the Sree Venkateswara Temple was realized through the dedication and collaborative efforts of temple leaders and the area community. Prior to its establishment, devotees often had to travel long distances, sometimes over a hundred miles to places like Pittsburgh, to seek the darshan (blessed sight) of Lord Venkateswara. The consecration and opening of the Sree Venkateswara Temple in Richfield marked a spiritual milestone, fulfilling the aspirations of the local Indian-American community. Modeled with inspiration from the great South Indian temple tradition, the Balaji Temple in Richfield stands as a serene sanctuary that faithfully follows the Agamic traditions, serving as a beacon of faith, a center for cultural activities, and a welcoming home for all who seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. We invite you to participate in our ceremonies, attend our cultural and educational programs, and join our mission to ensure the continuity of our faith for generations to come.
